Is a well established wildlife & country artist, who has illustrated or contributed pictures or covers for over 70 books during his 30 year career. His birds, mammals & landscapes are found in many countries, incl. 4 Collins Field Guides, many Prints, Cards, Reserve Maps & Signs, & in exhibitions ranging from the Royal Academy “British Art” show in the Gulf States, to Europe & America; & in most of Wales’& London’s top galleries. He has also worked for BBC Wildlife; RSPB BIRDS; Ocean World, Texas; Birdwatching; Birds Illustrated & many other magazines. “LIGHT & FLIGHT” is one of the first books he has both written & illustrated, & is already attracting rave reviews. He has also written & pictured the controversial “THE DESIGN & ORIGIN OF BIRDS” for DayOne Books [www.dayone.co.uk], in 2006, also attracting good reviews—by some! Philip is currently making a film with top Welsh cameraman, John Evans, about his wildlife art & the launch of the sketchbook, seen through the lens of an experienced wildlife film cameraman. Next year [2007], they hope to be filming & sketching Tigers in India, as part of another project— a “Painting Wildlife” film for DVD. |
